2/9/2025 - 1989 House Party Show added to DB!
Brownbase is pleased to announce that the first WEEN show with a full band now has a confirmed date, and has been added, complete with setlist! This show, a house party at the residence of Don Rettman, featured Andrew Weiss on bass and Sim Cain on drums. Regrettably, the band only managed three songs due to interference by the police...
In other news, the dates and venues of WEEN's December 1990 European tour have been confirmed and corrected. Several of the dates previously listed were actually another band's tour schedule, a mistake that can be attributed to me not speaking Dutch. Most of these shows still lack a setlist, but at least now the dates and venues are correct. The only exception to this is the Basel, Switzerland show, the date of which is still speculative. Nonetheless, progress!

Internet Archive Appears Mostly Recovered

For the first time since the hack, the Live Music Archive is loading audio files for streaming today. The video player appears functional as well. Hopefully that means it's back for good. Official updates can be found here. Brownbase sincerely hopes that archive.org will be able to continue it's good work in perpetuity, but this has been a harsh reminder that we cannot take the preservation of music for granted...
