Internet Archive Appears Mostly Recovered

For the first time since the hack, the Live Music Archive is loading audio files for streaming today. The video player appears functional as well. Hopefully that means it's back for good. Official updates can be found here. Brownbase sincerely hopes that archive.org will be able to continue it's good work in perpetuity, but this has been a harsh reminder that we cannot take the preservation of music for granted...

6/27/2025 - Echoes Through a Passage in Time...
It was long thought (by me, at least) that the 1995 collaboration with False Front on Pink Floyd's Echoes was a one-off performance. It was also thought (also by me) that this band had no official name and therefore could just be lumped in with WEEN proper. Both of these assumptions were wrong. The band, with the one song repertoire of Echoes, was in fact called "Echoes". And they performed on at least two other occasions: 6/13/1992 at Court Tavern, and 9/12/1992 at the Trenton Avant Garde Festival. We even have a recording of the first, courtesy of the great and powerful Kirk Miller! Check it!
